## Product Summary

CoverFi lets users connect a Stellar wallet such as Freighter, create contract-defined asset protection positions, monitor prices, pay readable usernames, and keep receipt-style records. The product is designed so important actions remain wallet-signed and reviewable by the user.

CoverFi protection is not insurance and does not guarantee a payout. Eligibility depends on contract rules, reserve state, oracle freshness, user signatures, and Stellar network execution.

## Architecture

CoverFi currently targets six Soroban contract roles:

- Protection Engine: creates and manages protection positions.
- Protected Balance Vault: handles protected principal custody logic.
- Reserve Vault: tracks reserve accounting, locked exposure, claim allocations, reserve floor, and epoch drain limits.
- Oracle Adapter: stores scaled asset price data and update timestamps used by claim checks.
- Username Registry: maps readable CoverFi usernames to Stellar addresses.
- Receipt Registry: anchors structured receipt metadata and access controls.
